We support the John & Parthenia Izzard Athleticism, Service & Achievement Award, supported by the Undine Barge Club and other rowing organizations. This award is now presented in loving memory of John, as he passed away September 9, 2022. The award committee annually offers this award to up to, 2 high school juniors, one male and one female, who embodies the attributes of John Izzard Jr. The 2025-2026 Award recipient was Danah Penafiel, nominated by Coach Helena Dropic, at Belleville High School in New Jersey. She saw and held the trophy but will receive her personal trophy, at the 2026 Schuylkill Navy Annual Awards Party, if they have one.
